Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in controls engineering, specifically with Allen‑Bradley PLCs and automation systems, to support our growing operations in Carmel. This role is critical to managing urgent prototype builds, expanding testing capabilities, and ensuring timely execution of strategic initiatives and product launches.
The role is onsite in Carmel, Indiana.
Responsibilities
Design, program, and troubleshoot Allen‑Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and related control systems.
Lead controls integration for new equipment and retrofits.
Support urgent prototype and low‑volume production orders with rapid controls setup and validation.
Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to resolve controls‑related downtime and inefficiencies.
Develop and maintain electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and documentation.
Assist in training and mentoring maintenance technicians, especially during their 1‑year ramp‑up period.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in automation, testing, and process control.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Your Contributions
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of hands‑on experience with Allen‑Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix) and RSLogix/Studio 5000.
Experience with CAD/SolidWorks is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting skills in a high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet) and safety systems.
Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
