Title & Location Endpoint Management Support Engineer – Albany, NY
Position Overview
Collaborate with team members to give advanced technical support, acting as an escalation point for complex issues.
Develop and implement endpoint management strategies, primarily using Microsoft Intune.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex endpoint problems, implement security solutions, and leverage tools such as Microsoft 365 and Intune.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to endpoints, including hardware, software, and network connectivity.
Manage and maintain endpoint systems using tools like Microsoft MECM, Jamf, Intune, and other MDM solutions.
Deploy and configure software on endpoints, ensuring proper installation and configuration of applications and operating systems.
Implement and maintain security policies on endpoints to meet compliance standards.
Create and maintain documentation and reports on endpoint status and performance.
Collaborate with architects, security administrators, and other IT professionals to implement and maintain the organization’s IT strategy.
Design and implement automation solutions to improve the efficiency of endpoint management.
Maintain accurate records of endpoint devices for inventory/asset management.
Track, prioritize, and resolve user support requests via the internal ticketing system.
Provide after‑hours support as required, including evenings and weekends.
Travel to office locations to provide on‑site technical support for issues that cannot be resolved remotely.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a professional specialty or related field, and a minimum of four years of IT support, desktop and endpoint administration, or application management experience.
Equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience acceptable.
Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals and Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert preferred.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and related endpoint management tools.
Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and their interaction with Intune.
Experience managing users and groups in Microsoft Entra ID, conditional access, and identity protection.
Understanding of endpoint security principles and threat detection.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer‑service skills.
Strong documentation and analytical skills.
Ability to collaborate with senior internal or external partners and adapt style for diverse audiences.
Proficiency in writing PowerShell scripts or using Microsoft Graph API beneficial.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API for automation and troubleshooting.
