Tax Supervisor Role Description
We are a 100% virtual CPA firm with our team located all over the United States. As a real estate niche-focused firm we serve Real Estate Investors, Syndicates, and Fund Managers. As a Tax Supervisor at Hall CPA, you are responsible for delivering high‑quality tax returns, ensuring client satisfaction, and mentoring and developing members of your team. We are looking for someone with experience managing clients who can elevate everyone around them.

Annual Salary Range: $105,000–$115,000
Areas of Responsibility
Conduct final technical reviews of tax returns and documents for individuals, partnerships, S‑corporations, trusts, and corporations, including signing tax returns
Provide tax‑return debriefs to clients and maintain ongoing relationships
Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations for resolution
Review and facilitate tax resolution with federal and state tax authorities
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and procedures
Assist in team development of technical skills and work quality, providing mentorship and training
Maintain strong client relationships by managing their expectations and promptly responding to communications/emails
Recommend additional firm services to benefit the client (e.g., bookkeeping services, tax advisory)
Measures for Success
Timeliness and accuracy of deliverables and work papers
Happiness rating of tax‑preparation clients
Consistently delivering on promises with clients
Expectations for Remote Work
Clean background with no noise or distractions
Business‑casual attire for client interactions
Always use video (80% of communication is non‑verbal)

Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university
CPA or EA certification
Experience with real estate tax matters and multi‑state tax returns
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
