We are seeking a skilled and motivated Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in core accounting functions including bank reconciliations, accruals, lease and inventory accounting, and job cost accounting, with a preference for those who have worked in the restaurant industry. Familiarity with Blackline and Microsoft Dynamics GP is highly desirable.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

Prepare, analyze, and reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Record and maintain utility accruals, property tax accruals, and other accrual entries.

Support lease accounting processes, including classification, amortization schedules, and compliance with ASC 842.

Perform inventory accounting, including reconciliations, cost reviews, and variance analysis.

Handle job cost accounting activities such as project tracking, expense allocation, and margin analysis.

Prepare, review, and post journal entries during period‑end close using Blackline.

Assist with balance sheet reconciliations through Blackline, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Participate in and help drive the period‑end and year‑end close process to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

Support external audit procedures and provide required documentation and schedules.

Maintain compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Utilize Microsoft Dynamics GP to process transactions, run reports, and support system‑related process enhancements.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with the team to implement more efficient accounting workflows.

Partner with operations, AP/AR, and other business units to resolve issues, clarify financial impacts, and improve accuracy.

Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles.

Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas).

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.

Hands‑on experience with bank reconciliations, accruals, lease accounting, inventory accounts, and job cost accounting (preferred).

Experience in the restaurant industry or multi‑unit retail environment (preferred).

Experience with Blackline software (preferred).

Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP (preferred).

Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Strong communicator comfortable interacting with both finance and non‑finance departments.

Proactive, eager to learn, and capable of working both independently and in a team setting.

Essential Physical Job Functions (with or without accommodation)

Physical requirements are the ability to perform a manual data input function for up to 50% of an 8‑hour day on a regular basis.
