Salary:
$100,000 to $165,000 (based on experience)
Job Summary The Controller will be a key financial leader responsible for safeguarding the organization’s financial health through accurate reporting, strategic financial planning, and effective management of all accounting operations. This role includes budgeting, forecasting, treasury functions, and compliance with GAAP, while providing clear and actionable financial insights to the CEO, leadership team, and other stakeholders. The Controller will balance detailed accounting work with strategic business oversight to support company growth and decision-making.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash management.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Manage independent audits and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
Maintain cash flow models, collections, and supplier payments to optimize liquidity.
Implement revenue recognition, cost of goods sold, inventory, and accrual practices.
Produce monthly financial reports, KPIs, and metrics for leadership and stakeholders.
Communicate financial information effectively to internal teams, portfolio companies, and external stakeholders, including boards and lenders.
Develop strategic costing structures and margin analysis.
Support special projects and other initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of finance experience, with strong GAAP knowledge.
Proficient with financial reporting, consolidation tools, and Excel.
Strong analytical, technical accounting, and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
Initiative-driven, detail-oriented, and willing to “roll up sleeves” as needed.
