Responsibilities Safety Awareness
Recognize equipment hazards (e.g., blades, heat, high voltage, etc.)
Follow safety procedures (e.g., lockout/tagout, PPE, etc.)
Machine Setup and Operation
Thread machines and set up for different web paths.
Adjust unwind for splicing (3", 6", 12" cores) and perform flying and manual splices.
Prepare and handle raw materials and resins.
Safely load/unload rolls and change rubber/chill rolls.
Properly manage waste and scrap materials.
Quality Control
Check substrate smoothness and identify paper defects.
Read specifications and set up machines to meet those requirements.
Forklift Operations
Complete PIV safety pre‑checks and inspections.
Safely move materials with forklifts and clamp trucks.
General Duties
Keep machine areas stocked with materials.
Store and dispose of waste materials properly.
