Job Description - Maintenance Supervisor JOB SUMMARY Responsible for ensuring resources are allocated for the efficient maintenance of production machinery, equipment and physical plant in accordance with state, Federal, and company policies & procedures. Supervises maintenance staff, their work schedules, and follows up on completion of assignments. The Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists manager in developing, scheduling, and controlling a preventative maintenance program to maintain production machinery
Use JDE PEM system to plan and complete preventative maintenance work
Ensure that at least 80% of total tech hours are captured in work orders
Balance budget and monitor expenditures to ensure long term consistency
Use JDE Maintenance WO system to ensure hours and parts are allocated to the correct work order
Supervises and coordinates the activities of all maintenance staff engaged in the maintenance, electrical, and mechanical operations and assists in their training where needed
Coach, develop, and discipline employees as necessary while maintaining a positive work environment
Conduct employee meetings to keep employees informed on goals, company policies/procedures, rules, and safety
Provides feedback to manager regarding performance appraisals
Maintain maintenance inventory and order parts as needed
Promote a safe work environment. Responsible for working safely, cleanly and ethically
Follow all plant PPE requirements, safety rules and policies. Reports unsafe conditions to manager immediately.
Complete daily walks to review conditions of equipment and facility
Ensure techs complete daily walks on assigned lines to ensure functionality of line
Assign and prioritize resources to PM and daily work
Perform other duties as assigned

Possess three to five years maintenance experience and/or supervisory experience
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
Diligently assuring all safety protocols and GMPs are adhered to.
Knowledge of maintenance equipment in manufacturing facility
Ability to understand written and verbal instructions
Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong computer skills
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others.
Strong leadership skills
Previous knowledge of machinery used in PVC manufacturing
Ability to take initiative and work effectively with little supervision
Previous experience with Kronos
Knowledge of JDE system
