The Role
The
Building Envelope Consultant
will play a critical role in diagnosing and improving the performance of building envelope systems. The position involves collaboration with architects, contractors, and owners to ensure durability, energy efficiency, and resilience in diverse projects ranging from high‑rise buildings to cultural landmarks.
Responsibilities
Conduct forensic investigations of building envelope systems, including façades, roofing, and waterproofing.
Perform field assessments, testing, and data analysis to identify root causes of failures.
Develop design recommendations and remediation strategies for new and existing structures.
Prepare technical reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, cost‑effective solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Strong knowledge of building envelope systems, materials, and construction practices.
