We are seeking a
Sheet Metal Fabricator
for our fast-paced aerospace manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be reporting to the Production Manager and will be responsible for operating machinery to shape metal according to specifications. Only experienced candidates in the field of Aerospace Sheet Metal forming will be considered. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and dedication for producing high-quality work.
This will be a full-time, non-exempt position located in our Long Beach location.
Responsibilities
Setting up and operating fabricating machines such as shears, brake presses, hydro-presses, drills, grinders and mill machines.
Hand forming, checking and straightening using form blocks.
Trimming, grinding, deburring, buffing and smoothing surfaces to specifications.
Assembling components with rivets, nut-plates sealants.
Ability to read blueprints and comprehend product drawings.
Carrying out inspections utilizing calipers, micrometers and height gages.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED minimum.
Minimum of 3 years experience in an Aerospace / Manufacturing or related industry.
Must have aerospace, job-shop experience.
Preferred Skills & Requirements
Willingness to work occasionally evenings and/or weekends to support critical deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be physically fit to perform work duties.
Spanish speaking is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: California $20.00 - $30.00 hourly. Pay is based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and business needs. RBH is willing to train the right candidates that are interested in an entry level position and pay.
