A Control Systems Engineer designs, develops, and maintains automated systems, using PLCs, SCADA, and HMI to optimize industrial processes for efficiency and safety in manufacturing, energy, or aerospace, requiring skills in electrical/mechanical engineering, programming, simulation, and problem-solving to integrate hardware/software and troubleshoot complex systems. Key Responsibilities:
Design & Development : Create control logic and schematics for automated machinery, from concept to implementation. Programming : Develop and maintain code for PLCs, DCS, HMIs, and SCADA systems. Testing & Validation : Simulate, test, and commission systems to meet performance criteria. Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve issues in live systems for optimal uptime. Collaboration : Work with electrical, mechanical, and software teams for seamless integration. Optimization : Continuously improve processes and adapt to new technologies. Technical : Control theory, electrical/mechanical principles, robotics, automation. Software : PLC/DCS programming (Ladder Logic, Structured Text), SCADA, HMI, MATLAB/Simulink. Soft Skills : Problem-solving, attention to detail, strong communication, teamwork, working under pressure. Typical Requirements:
Education : Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering. Experience : Hands-on experience with industrial automation hardware and software. Seniority level
