Position Overview General Construction Project Manager for the Kenyon Team. Responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of assigned HVAC and mechanical construction projects from inception through completion. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards and client satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

Preparing bids, proposals, RFPs, RFQs.

On‑site project management, periodic inspection of construction sites, project coordination, schedule adherence.

Develop project schedules, oversee the budget, and anticipate any issues.

Manage customer billing.

Oversee the preparation of submittals, O&M manuals, and close‑outs.

Accountabilities

Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in preparing bids, proposals, RFQs/RFPs, and project documentation.

Ensure projects remain on schedule through proactive coordination, site visits, and timely issue resolution.

Communicate effectively with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Manage project budgets, billing, and financial documentation with consistency and accuracy.

Oversee submittals, O&M manuals, and close‑out packages to ensure they are completed and submitted on time.

Qualifications

Proven ability to manage multiple commercial construction projects with at least 10 years’ experience.

Knowledge of commercial institutional construction from site work through final acceptance.

Forecast job costs to prepare proposals/bids for clients.

Ability to read blueprints and understand contracts.

Able to negotiate with and manage subcontractors and vendors.

Understanding of permits and safety regulations; OSHA training is a plus.

Team player with strong leadership skills.

Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency is strongly desired.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a solid customer service background.

Strong attention to detail required.

MUST have a clean background and driving record, be able to pass a drug test.

Behavioral Profile Language Skills

Ability to read and understand construction documents, project specifications, bids, proposals, RFQs/RFPs, and jobsite reports. Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, subcontractors, internal teams, and field personnel. Provide updates, document project progress, and address issues in written and verbal form.

Mathematical Skills

Strong basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and cost calculations. Develop and monitor project budgets, review estimates, and interpret financial impacts related to schedule or scope changes. Comfortable working in spreadsheets and project management software.

Reasoning Ability

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and anticipate potential issues. Interpret construction drawings, identify conflicts, coordinate solutions. Use good judgment, work independently, and escalates concerns appropriately.

Physical Demands Role requires a blend of office and field responsibilities. Must conduct periodic jobsite inspections, walking active construction sites, navigating uneven terrain, climbing ladders, or accessing mechanical spaces. Light lifting up to 25 lbs may be required for carrying plans, materials, or equipment during site assessments.
