Description Fluidra is seeking a Production Supervisor. Location: Portland, TN.
What You Will Contribute
Use Lean Principles to formulate strategies resulting in on-time shipments and an increase in productivity.
Communicate daily manpower planning to Operations Manager.
Initiate cross training amongst all employees.
Use basic disciplinary methods to assure fairness and consistency to all manufacturing employees.
Monitor employee conformity to safety laws and policies.
Communicate daily strategy to Operations Manager and Planner.
Have ownership of the manufacturing floor regarding material presentation and 5S for all areas.
Assist with incorporating proper manufacturing layouts.
Safety
Make certain all individuals that are on the manufacturing floor have the proper PPE.
Assure all safety practices are followed throughout each manufacturing process.
Suggest solutions, improvements and prevention steps for safety issues.
Training, motivating, coaching and correcting employees to ensure that standards are met.
Inspect equipment and chemical usage for unsafe workplace conditions.
Formulate strategies to increase safety while improving productivity.
Review processes to ensure that they meet all safety requirements.
Investigate accidents and incidents to find root cause and take prevention measure for further incidents.
What We Seek
5+ years of supervising in a manufacturing environment.
2+ years of Lean Manufacturing experience.
Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar Technical Degree
