Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
Process payroll for manufacturing employees, including wages, deductions, and tax filings.
Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash flow records for manufacturing operations.
Maintain the general ledger, posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts related to production costs and inventory.
Track and reconcile inventory valuations and movements, collaborating with production and warehouse teams.
Prepare basic financial statements and reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.
Monitor and record manufacturing‑related expenses, ensuring proper allocation to cost centers.
Recommended Qualifications
Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with cost accounting and inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accurately.
Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills for financial data.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
Understanding of standard costing principles and variance analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
