Position Title: Staff Accountant
Reports to: Senior Manager - Accounting

Our expertise in power development and generation, including greenfield development, acquisition, fuel procurement, financing, construction and operations management has resulted in a portfolio of efficient, state-of-the‑art, environmentally sound generating facilities.
Purpose: Working with multiple individuals in the accounting group, invoicing, and general ledger accounting for multiple subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
Prepare general ledger entries and maintain supporting schedules for various accounts and subsidiaries, including payroll, prepaids, accruals, and depreciation
Prepare invoices for services provided, tailored to the specific requirements of multiple subsidiaries.
Record bank transactions and perform bank reconciliations
Prepare financial statements and monthly budget variance reports by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system (Great Plains)
Work closely with the operational and asset management departments to ensure accuracy of financial information
Assist with the year‑end audit and internal control testing by preparing and compiling supporting documentation
Ensure all accounting processes are performed in accordance with internal control guidelines
Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred with 2 years minimum experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong knowledge of Excel
Great Plains (or similar software) experience is preferred
Ability to maintain confidential information
Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Range: $65,000 -$78,000
