Job Summary / Purpose
Directs and supervises a team of operators in a cross‑functional multi‑craft, multi‑skilled plant environment at a natural gas‑fueled supercritical power plant with safety at the forefront of everything we do. Provides leadership on rotating twelve‑hour shifts within an around‑the‑clock work environment unless assigned the Dayshift Production Supervisor responsibilities (whose normal schedule is 4‑10’s). Is responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of plant systems to meet expectations of unit dispatching in accordance with all policies, procedures, and guidelines. This includes equipment operations, online maintenance activities, emergency response, and event response.

Job Duties / Responsibilities
Supervises, develops, and manages a shift of operations technicians and/or maintenance operators through all production activities in safe, efficient, and timely manner.
Maximize team performance while keeping alignment with Entergy’s business objectives, expectations of employment, process, procedures, and best practices.
Hire personnel as needed based on the available headcount within the assigned direct reports.
Continuous performance management of the assigned shift and of the operating procedures.
Maintains and upholds quality, standards, procedures and regulations of the organization, state, and federal agencies including compliance with all company, state, and federal requirements (OSHA, NERC, EPA, State DEQ's, SOX, etc.)
Collaborate with other plant personnel to assist with resource allegation and backlog management.
Write and manage contracts for assigned projects and other areas of responsibility.
Provides contractor/project oversight as assigned and/or manages the delegation of these to their direct reports when appropriate.
Financial management and reporting for assigned budgets in accordance with all guidelines, programs, and regulatory compliance.
Supports all outages, emergencies, and severe weather preparation/response as per policies/procedures/guidelines.
Develops outage package, resource planning, and budget management for assigned outage projects and/or packages.
Drive training and continued education for yourself and your direct reports with tracking through the Individual Development Planning in SuccessFactors.
Interfaces and communications with internal & external organizations/customers (Managers, Team Leaders, contractors, EMO/SPO, Fuels, TCC, etc.).
Provides onsite supervision for the entire twelve‑hour shift on normally scheduled workdays but assigns a step‑up opportunity for a direct report when utilizing personal time off or on temporary assignment.
Ensure all required maintenance and scheduled work are completed with proper documentation in a timely manner.
Along with other Production Supervisor(s) from the plant, management of the operations work schedule and other duties regarding time management.
Program management for items assigned by the Team Leader or Manager.
Provide effective professional support in all other tasks, assignments, and/or initiatives when assigned by leadership.
