Temp to Perm The US Payroll Operations Supervisor leads the day-to-day execution of U.S. payroll operations in partnership with Hubbell’s managed services providers. This role supervises payroll staff and temporary resources to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery. The supervisor also serves as an escalation point for payroll issues and the primary liaison with payroll vendors. Key Accountabilities

Supervise a team of 4 Payroll Operations and Employee Services Specialists, plus temporary staff as needed. Allocate work, provide training, and resolve payroll incidents. Assist with testing payroll and time system functionality, policies, and procedures. Ensure compliance with audit requirements, internal controls, and documentation standards. Coach, develop, and mentor payroll team members to improve capability and performance. Review and approve payroll-related actions while maintaining segregation of duties. Manage vendor relationships with ADP and Ceridian to ensure accurate and timely payrolls. Act as liaison between Payroll and HR Operations, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, and Finance. Analyze ServiceNow and ADP CRM tickets to identify trends and recommend process improvements. Serve as Tier 2 escalation support for unresolved payroll issues. Lead quarter-end and year-end payroll activities, including balancing, corrections, W-2 reconciliation, and W-2c processing. Ensure SOX compliance and support internal and external audits. Prepare and maintain payroll procedures and documentation. Qualifications, Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of multi-state, multi-entity, high-volume payroll processing experience (7,000+ employees). 3+ years of payroll team supervisory or leadership experience. Experience with ADP GlobalView, Ceridian Dayforce, and SuccessFactors HR preferred. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred. Additional Skills

Working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations. Strong time management and ability to prioritize competing deadlines. Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Full understanding of end-to-end payroll processing, including quarter- and year-end activities. Strong analytical, organizational, and judgment skills. High level of integrity and confidentiality with payroll data. Ability to manage cross-functional relationships and resolve issues proactively. Adaptability to system updates, vendor changes, and policy updates. Willingness to work flexible hours to meet payroll deadlines. Benefits
