Career Development Specialist – Polk Correctional Institution, Work Camp

Key Responsibilities
Facilitating employability and life skills programs; administering and interpreting assessments.
Providing cell‑front instruction for the Compass 100 Hybrid curriculum and Thinking for a Change.
Conducting supplemental in‑cell assignments under the direction of the Lead Educator.
Facilitating pre‑release connections with community providers and employers for job search, recruitment, and placement activities.
Reporting monthly attendance, program enrollments, and completions in the Department of Corrections approved format; maintaining documentation of services delivered.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or high school diploma) + two (2) years of professional experience in workforce development, social services, or corrections.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
Bonus Points If You Have
Associate’s Degree and at least one year of experience in the social services or corrections field.
