Location & Employment Department of Corrections – Polk Correctional Institution (DOC – Polk CI)
Full‑time, grant‑funded position.
What You’ll Do
Facilitate employability and life skills training, administer and interpret assessments, and deliver the Compass 100 hybrid curriculum and Thinking for a Change.
Provide Compass 100 Hybrid and supplemental in‑cell assignments through cell‑front instruction for eligible participants in restrictive housing, as directed by the Lead Educator.
Deliver Compass 100 Hybrid services in a small‑group setting to participants not in restrictive housing and other department programs.
Coordinate pre‑release connections with community providers and employers through face‑to‑face and technology‑based interactions, including pre‑release job search, recruitment, and placement activities.
Report monthly attendance, program enrollments and completions using the Department of Corrections approved format, and maintain documentation of services delivered.
Who We’re Looking For
Associate’s Degree from an accredited college/university or high school diploma.
At least two (2) years of professional experience in workforce development, social services, or corrections.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
Bonus Points If You Have
Associate’s Degree and at least one year of experience in social services or corrections.
