The Patient Financial Representative serves as a liaison between patients and the organization, ensuring timely and accurate collection of balances while providing excellent customer service. This position is responsible for managing patient financial interactions, establishing and maintaining payment plans, processing payments, and preparing accounts for collections or refunds. The representative will act as a professional representative of Sagent Behavioral Health supporting the financial health of the organization through effective communication and account management.
Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm

Responsibilities
Make at least 100 outgoing calls per week.
Answer at least 75 incoming calls per week.
Establish/Negotiate Payment Plans with Patients.
Thoroughly document any interaction on the patient’s account.
Review claims to ensure all insurances have been properly billed before the claim is sent to Third Party Collections.
Review claims to verify that all internal account collections steps have taken place.
Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings and any other meetings and/or training sessions as indicated.
All other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
Collections and customer service experience; insurance billing follow up experience; Mental Health experience preferred.
Ability to handle high pressure conflict resolution
Detail oriented, flexible problem solver; maintains a positive attitude.
Computer Experience required, Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook
High school graduate or above.
Must reside in MN, and be able to travel to Arden Hills, MN
Compensation $18.50- 20.00/hour
Actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as licensure, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule and/or location. Estimates are factored on a 1.0 FTE.
