Men's & Women's Swimming Graduate Assistant
North Central College is seeking a graduate assistant to support the Men's and Women's Swimming teams. This role includes recruiting, leadership, administration, communication, writing, and coaching responsibilities.

Essential Functions
Sourcing and recruiting prospective student athletes that meet NCC admission requirements.
Scheduling on-campus visits in conjunction with the admissions department.
Planning and coordinating events for home competitions and alumni gatherings.
Writing and directing swim practices.
Planning team meals and coordinating transportation to and from competitions.
Assisting with administrative duties such as meet entry.
Building positive relationships with current team members to motivate and encourage effective training strategies.
Assisting with follow‑up of donors and alumni.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications Required
Accepted into a graduate program at North Central College.
Swim team experience—either as a swimmer or coach—or athletic administrative experience.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or eligibility to become current.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Demonstrated problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
Able and willing to travel as needed, including nights and weekends.
Preferred
Experience in college athletics.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Approximate number of work hours per week:
20 hours per week during the academic year, excluding academic breaks.
