Senior Accountant
Location: Oakland, CA – fully on site. Base pay range:
$45.00/hr – $50.00/hr .
Join our client’s team and play a key role in driving financial excellence.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and review of financial reports/support as necessary.
Analyze and report on financial status, including income statement variances, and communicate financial results to management, along with budget preparation and analysis.
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
Assist with financial and tax audits.
Document and monitor internal controls in support of the auditing team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting/finance experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP.
Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
