Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
Position Summary The Staff Accountant supports the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in GAAP, solid technical skills, and experience working in a fast-paced accounting environment. Real estate or property management experience is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-related accounting functions
Prepare financial reports and schedules as requested by management
Analyze account variances and investigate discrepanciesEnsure accuracy and completeness of financial data across multiple entities or properties
Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
Assist with audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting as needed
Collaborate with internal teams to support operational and financial initiatives
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including: Formulas and functions, Conditional formatting, Lookup functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), SUMIF/SUMIFS, Pivot tables, IF statements
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
