Full-Time Human Resources Manager
in Cambridge, Ohio. Family-owned company celebrating 72 years. Seeking a detail-focused HR manager to support a positive, safety‑focused workplace.
What You’ll Do
Lead and coordinate HR processes and functions across the organization
Oversee full‑cycle recruitment, onboarding, and new‑hire compliance
Develop, lead, and support employee training initiatives
Manage company safety programs, including compliance audits and safety training
Maintain accurate, confidential HR files and safety documentation
Administer benefits such as medical, dental, vision, HSA, life insurance, and 401(k)
Manage Workers’ Compensation claims and return‑to‑work procedures
Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, and other regulations
Oversee Hours of Service compliance, driver qualification files, and routine safety audits
Lead policy development, handbook updates, and HR best practice initiatives
Support employee relations, coach supervisors, and guide corrective action processes
Communicate clearly and professionally at all levels
Assist with payroll processing
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 5 years of HR management experience in manufacturing, trucking, or construction, including compliance and employee relations
Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, EEO)
Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSA standards and DOT safety requirements
Experience with safety oversight and employee training programs
Ability to interpret and apply state and federal regulations to daily workplace situations
Experience supporting managers with coaching, investigations, and documentation
Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills
Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills across all levels
