About the Role We are seeking an experienced
Manufacturing Controller
to lead accounting operations for an established yet growing manufacturing company. This role is critical in driving accurate financial reporting, cost control, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in manufacturing accounting, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to partner with operations to optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting functions for manufacturing operations, including cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
Develop and maintain standard costing models and analyze production variances.
Monitor and report on inventory levels, work-in-progress, and finished goods; ensure compliance with GAAP.
Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost efficiency and inventory accuracy.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
Lead and mentor accounting staff as needed.
Qualifications
CPA required .
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree preferred.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of
manufacturing cost accounting , inventory management, and standard costing.
Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
