Responsibilities

Reviews, tracks, and documents training, continuing education, and work assessments in compliance with mandatory and non‑mandatory requirements, including safety training, anti‑harassment training, professional licensure, aptitude exams, and certifications.

Reviews background checks, drug screens, and employment eligibility verifications; identifies variances from accepted guidelines and escalates matters to the Senior HR Director as needed.

Collaborates with other Human Resources staff and internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve general employee matters.

Performs complex tasks required to administer and execute human resource policies and programs such as compensation, overtime pay, leaves; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; random drug testing; productivity, recognition, and morale initiatives.

Works with the safety department on drug and alcohol testing requirements and occupational health and safety matters.

Handles employment‑related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Senior Human Resources Director.

Works with the Compensation & Benefits Administrator on tracking LOAs requests (FMLA/CFRA, PDL, PFL) and assists in completion of state and federal forms.

Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Monitors and updates all related HR information systems with relevant employee data.

Assists with preparation of plans, policies, documents, and various reports including but not limited to EEO‑1, affirmative action plans, organizational charts, and employee handbooks.

Assists in developing company‑wide SOPs.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

3‑5 years of human resources experience required.

SHRM‑CP plus.

Salary Range: $70K – $90K (commensurate with experience).
