University & Early Careers Recruiter

to join our Americas Talent Acquisition team at our Westerville, OH headquarters. Early career talent—sourced through strategic university partnerships and pipeline programs—is one of Vertiv’s most critical long‑term talent investments.

Key Responsibilities

Own and drive strategic partnerships with targeted universities across the U.S. to build long‑term, sustainable early career pipelines.

Evaluate new schools, organizations, associations, and partnerships to expand access to diverse early talent pools.

Partner with the Talent Management COE to refine and execute Vertiv’s annual university recruitment strategy, including school selection, event planning, and relationship management.

Own and lead the full lifecycle recruitment for Vertiv’s AMR internship program, engineering & product development new graduate programs, leadership development programs, and other early career pipelines.

Identify opportunities to create, strengthen, or scale early career pipelines aligned to Vertiv’s workforce planning needs.

Partner with HR, business leaders, and Workforce Planning to ensure interns and graduates transition successfully into the organization (onboarding, performance expectations, conversion strategy).

Serve as the primary Vertiv representative for campus events, career fairs, student organizations, and faculty partnerships.

Partner with Brand & Communications to ensure early talent messaging is aligned with Vertiv’s employer brand and resonates with student audiences.

Ensure consistency of early career brand presence across digital channels, universities, and talent communities.

Execute the full‑cycle recruitment process for interns and early career hires—sourcing, screening, assessing, coordinating interviews, offer management, and hiring.

Manage intern and new grad onboarding processes in partnership with HR and business units, ensuring a seamless and engaging candidate experience.

During off‑season periods, provide full‑cycle corporate recruiting support to the Americas TA team.

Lead planning and execution of all university events in partnership with the Talent Management COE.

Track, analyze, and report hiring data, event ROI, funnel health, and conversion metrics.

Make data‑informed recommendations to improve recruitment strategy, processes, and pipeline effectiveness.

Partner to design and enhance program structure for interns and early career hires, ensuring strong engagement, career development, and retention outcomes.

Education, Skills & Experience Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) required.

Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in early careers, university relations, or student programs recruitment.

Minimum 3 years of experience in full‑cycle recruitment.

Demonstrated experience executing or supporting a structured internship program.

Experience engaging with colleges/universities and leading campus events.

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and priorities simultaneously.

Excellent communication and presentation skills; confident collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.

Ability to gather, interpret, and present data to inform strategic decisions.

Understanding of the university recruiting landscape and campus event planning.

Ability to build strong internal partnerships across TA, HR, Talent Management, and business units.

Strong relationship‑building skills with students, faculty, and external partners.

Creative problem solver with a passion for building scalable, high‑impact early talent programs.
