Autism Center of Excellence is hiring Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children with autism in the Durham, NC area. This is a rewarding role where you will help children build important life, communication, and social skills through structured behavioral therapy.
To be considered, candidates must have reliable availability from 12:00 PM–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday. Many of our clients receive therapy after school, so consistent afternoon coverage is required.
What You Will Do
Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children with autism
Follow treatment plans designed and supervised by a BCBA
Support communication, social, play, and daily living skill development
Collect and record session data
Maintain a positive, supportive therapy environment
Collaborate with the clinical team and caregivers
Compensation
Behavior Technician (BT): $18–$21 per hour
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): $22–$27 per hour

Requirements
Reliable availability Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–6:00 PM
Ability to work with children in a clinical or home-based setting
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Compassion, patience, and professionalism
Ability to pass background screening
Preferred but not required
Experience working with children
ABA, education, psychology, behavioral health, or childcare experience
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
Spanish bilingual skills
Training is provided for candidates not yet certified as RBTs.
