The VISTA will participate in organized events and community outreach events that promote suicide prevention and awareness.

Member Duties :

Beacon for Hope Suicide Prevention is dedicated to ensure individuals of income eligible areas of Kansas receive suicide prevention, education, resources, and materials to help reduce the suicide rate. The Suicide Prevention Community Engagement VISTA will work directly with Beacon for Hope staff to create innovative events and outreach opportunities that target veterans and their families. The VISTA will collaborate with community factions, donors, key community leadership, and other VISTAs to create life‑saving events focused on providing resources, education, and materials.
