Position Overview
The primary responsibility of an Engineer 4 Evening Shift is to maintain the tower suites, casino, restaurants, pool, back of house, self‑park garage and any other areas during the Evening Shift, in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. This is a safety‑related position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Respond to maintenance calls in the casino, restaurants, pool, back of house and parking garages.
Promote the safety of external and internal guests.
Respond to 402 alarms and any emergencies throughout the entire property.
Maintain table games.
Maintain all property lighting.
Reset and secure all escalators and people movers.
Assist in the setup of special events for slots and table games.
Maintain Executive Offices, ballrooms, meeting rooms, and other office spaces as directed.
Troubleshoot complex maintenance problems and develop creative solutions.
Interface with contractors due to property knowledge.
Perform any assigned task from HOTSOS and Maximo.
Ensure safety is met as an essential function.
Maintain consistent and regular attendance as an essential function.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain executive offices, ballrooms, meeting rooms, and other spaces as directed.
Troubleshoot complex maintenance problems and develop creative solutions.
Company Standards of Conduct All Venetian Resort Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
Minimum Qualifications
21 years of age.
Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
High school diploma or equivalent.
4‑6 years of experience in electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment, air conditioning and heating.
Valid Nevada Driver’s License and any other certifications or licenses required by law or policy.
Knowledge of hand tools and electronic equipment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with guests and Team Members from diverse backgrounds and levels of experience.
Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Lift or carry 50 pounds unassisted.
Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers.
Interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members and outside contacts.
Walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel for prolonged periods.
Work in a fast‑paced, busy environment.
Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as noise, dust and cigarette smoke.
