Member Duties The VISTA Project will strengthen the institution’s ability to reduce poverty and advance educational opportunity by building sustainable systems, partnerships, and processes that expand civic engagement, rural outreach, and access to postsecondary education. VISTA members will increase organizational capacity by developing resource guides, outreach strategies, engagement tools, and coordination structures that support underserved and rural communities, remove barriers to economic stability, and improve pathways into higher education. Through these efforts, the project will enhance long-term institutional effectiveness in addressing community needs and improving opportunities for individuals experiencing poverty.
