Job Description
TEKsystems' client is looking to add a support technician to their team for a 6+ month contract with the possibility of hire. This person will be sitting at the Webster, NY location and will be supporting employees at that site. The team is responsible for all endpoints, so they may work on laptops, printers, conference room technology, etc. The role uses Jira as a ticketing tool, but much of the support will involve people walking up to the desk, so strong customer service skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day‑to‑day technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals across office and manufacturing environments.
Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and related productivity tools.
Support user account management, permissions, and security policies.
Collaborate closely with IT team members, production supervisors, engineers, and end users to resolve issues quickly and minimize downtime.
Maintain, deploy, and update hardware, including imaging devices, replacing components, and performing routine maintenance.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and escalated complex problems to the appropriate teams.
Document procedures, incidents, and resolutions to improve team knowledge and operational efficiency.
Ensure all work aligns with safety protocols and manufacturing standards.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Desktop Technician, IT Support Specialist, or similar role.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft technologies, including Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Teams, and Active Directory.
Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and communicating effectively with both technical and non‑technical users.
Ability to work comfortably in a manufacturing environment, including on the production floor.
Solid understanding of hardware troubleshooting, imaging tools, and device lifecycle management.
Strong problem‑solving skills and a customer‑focused mindset.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be governed by specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the temporary role may include the following:
