Our client is seeking a qualified Field Desktop Technician to join their team based in Greensboro, NC, supporting customer sites within a 75‑mile radius. The Technician must have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and a clean MVR. Mileage will be paid to cover transportation expenses.

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures using established procedures.

Manage triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of client scope on IT equipment.

Be familiar with various operating systems (e.g., Windows OS).

Perform service, repair, and/or installation of computer products including system hardware, PCs, laptops, and printers.

Follow up with end users to provide status updates per service level guidelines (SLAs).

Document efforts, issues, and resolutions; close cases/tickets daily.

Use ServiceNow to schedule work, update tickets, and resolve tickets accordingly.

Qualifications

Minimum 1‑2 years of IT technical support experience.

Hands‑on Break‑Fix and IMAC / Project experience.

Sound understanding of customer support, operations, and processes.

Exceptional customer service and relationship‑building competence.

Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with customers in ServiceNow.

Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, networks, databases, and network‑security concepts and tools.

CompTIA A+ certification preferred.

CompTIA Network+ certification preferred.

Wage Range The rate for this position is between $17.50 and $25.31 per hour. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
