Key Responsibilities
Develop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs for various manufactured parts.
Perform dimensional inspections of parts using CMMs to verify conformance to specifications.
Generate and analyze detailed CMM inspection reports, communicating results effectively.
Design and create appropriate fixturing for CMM measurement applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve CMM program errors and measurement discrepancies.
Ensure CMM programs and measurements comply with engineering drawings, GD&T, and quality standards.
Participate in CMM calibration, validation, and routine preventative maintenance activities.
Recommended Qualifications
Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T.
Solid understanding of metrology principles and measurement techniques.
Experience with CMM operation, setup, and fixture design.
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills for measurement challenges.
Bonus Qualifications
ASME GD&T Professional Certification (GDTP)
Proficiency with multiple CMM software platforms (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS)
Experience with other metrology equipment such as laser scanners, vision systems, or portable CMMs
Ability to perform basic CMM preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
