Base Pay Range $125,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr
A leading investment firm in New York is seeking a Trade Support Associate to join its team and work closely with the Head of the U.S. Convertible and Derivative Arbitrage desk. This opening exists because the current individual in the role is transitioning into a front‑office trading position, reflecting the firm’s commitment to internal mobility and career growth. Job Function
Provide daily trade support for the U.S. Convertible and Derivative Arbitrage desk, ensuring timely and accurate trade capture.
Reconcile trade activity across internal systems, prime brokers, and counterparties.
Monitor and resolve trade breaks, position discrepancies, and settlement issues.
Support the desk with intraday and end‑of‑day P&L review and variance analysis.
Maintain and validate position, pricing, and risk data across products, including convertibles, options, and related derivatives.
Coordinate with operations, risk, technology, and counterparties to resolve trade, funding, and lifecycle issues.
Assist with corporate action processing and ensure accurate reflection in positions and valuations.
Prepare daily and ad‑hoc reports for traders, risk teams, and management.
Contribute to process enhancements, automation efforts, and control improvements within the middle office workflow.
Support new product or strategy onboarding by partnering with technology, operations, and trading teams.
Job Requirements
2-7 years of Middle Office or Trade Support experience within a top‑tier bank or hedge fund.
Strong understanding of the full trade lifecycle, including P&L, risk management, and related processes.
Solid academic background, ideally with a degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
