The Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled paralegal to join our team and manage a demanding caseload requiring independent judgment, advanced organizational capabilities, and expert-level knowledge of Oregon probate and estate planning procedures. This position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to work directly with clients and counsel on complex matters.

This is an in-office position in Lake Oswego with flexible work hours for a 40 hour work week.

Remote work is not available.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $35–$45/hour commensurate with experience

Paid Time Off: Unlimited accrual (0.0577 hours per hour worked), flexible time off (no set Holidays)

Minimum Qualifications (Non-Negotiable) Candidates must meet at least one of the following:

Minimum 1 year of law firm experience in estate planning, probate, trust administration, or guardianship/conservatorship matters; OR

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

Candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.

Required Skills & Experience

Demonstrated ability to manage 50+ concurrent matters without sacrificing accuracy or deadlines

Proficiency with Oregon Judicial Case Information Network (OJCIN)

Experience with Tyler Court eFiling system

Advanced Microsoft Word skills, including complex document formatting and template creation

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading abilitiesAbility to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and escalate appropriately

Professional demeanor with clients, courts, and financial institutions

Typing speed of 50+ WPM

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of estate planning and probate paralegal experience

Experience with trust accounting and fiduciary administration

Familiarity with Oregon probate rules and procedures

History of implementing systems and process improvements in a law firm setting

Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program

Core Responsibilities

Draft and process estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives

Manage probate administrations from initiation through closing, including court filings, creditor notifications, and asset distribution

Handle guardianship and conservatorship matters, including annual accountings and reporting

Administer trust matters, including asset transfers, beneficiary communications, and distributions

Maintain rigorous calendaring and deadline management systems

Coordinate with courts, financial institutions, title companies, and other professionals

Communicate directly with clients regarding case status, document execution, and next steps

Identify workflow inefficiencies and propose solutions
