College/Department Information The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) is one of the largest medical schools by class size. It provides clinical and postgraduate education across the state, including 350 sites, and partners with institutions such as Georgia Southern University.
Job Summary The Business Manager 2 leads the St. Joseph’s Candler Residency Programs, collaborating with campus and central GME leadership to supervise finance, administration, and education for the residency program.
Responsibilities Recruitment / Administrative Management
Lead staff administration for the 60‑person residency program and maintain all accreditation documentation.
Field applicant questions and assist with the ERAS application process.
Coordinate resident interviews as directed by program directors.
Create data‑tracking processes for the GME Office / ACGME and oversee daily program activities.
Supervise and train the residency program coordinator; supply leadership for the rollout of three additional programs (totaling 40 residents).
Clinical Experience, Educational Scheduling and Credentialing
Create, monitor, and disseminate rotation schedules and enter hours into the New Innovations tracking system.
Track compliance of work‑hour logs.
Assist with credentialing for St. Joseph’s Candler Hospital System and Augusta University, collecting CVs and data sheets.
Maintain documentation for all teaching faculty and residents.
Didactics and Education
Schedule didactic speakers and build a master calendar.
Develop tools tracking residents’ progression toward milestones and inform Program Directors.
Assist remedial actions to keep residents on track for program completion.
Track scholarly work and maintain rotation performance standards.
Disseminate program policies and train faculty in supervision and evaluation.
Finance & Operations
Review the program pro forma with Program Director and hospital leadership; communicate adjustments.
Process travel authorizations, expense reports, check requests, and purchase orders with vendors.
Handle expenses paid directly by St. Joseph’s Candler.
Reconcile monthly financial reports with the Savannah Campus Administrator.
Process paperwork for hiring core faculty and onboard new residents with the AU GME office.
Meet central GME expectations for resident onboarding and approvals.
Other
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline and three years of administrative management experience.

Maintain confidentiality
Detail‑oriented
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software/databases
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M‑F (may require out‑of‑hour work for exempt positions)
Pay Band: 13
Salary: Minimum $68,500/annually, commensurate with qualifications
Recruitment Period: 12/11/25 – Until Filled
Full‑time benefits include health, dental, life insurance, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays.
Tuition Assistance Program available after 6 months of employment.
Conditions of Employment
Must pass a background check before starting.
Positions of Trust or purchase‑card usage require a credit check.
