Position Information: Carolina Community Academy (CCA) is an innovative K‑2 laboratory school at North Elementary School in Roxboro, NC, a partnership between UNC‑Chapel Hill and Person County Schools.
Position Summary The UNC School of Education is looking for an Assistant Principal at CCA. The role is a twelve‑month, full‑time, non‑teaching position starting January 2026. The Assistant Principal will be housed at the school site in Roxboro and will report to the CCA Principal. Duties include supporting effective instructional practices, developing and implementing policies and programs, managing budgets, coordinating field trips, assessments, transportation, and overseeing after‑school and summer camps. The Assistant Principal will also collaborate with UNC‑Chapel Hill School of Education staff to support teacher and school leadership preparation and educational research.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements • Masters degree in educational leadership or related field; excellent oral and written communication skills; evidence of skill working with at‑risk student populations. • Qualifying degree from an accredited institution. • Current license or eligibility for licensure in the area of supervision required.

Campus Security Authority Responsibilities This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. Responsibilities include reporting Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and completing annual Clery compliance training.
