Process Engineer Manager - Foundry Operations

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and driven Process Engineering Manager to lead our foundry process engineering team in achieving operational excellence. This role plays a critical part in shaping our manufacturing processes—from new product development to continuous improvement—ensuring we deliver the highest quality castings safely, efficiently, and cost‑effectively.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of process engineers to meet company goals and drive continuous improvement.
Design, implement, and refine manufacturing processes and equipment for optimal safety, quality, and efficiency.
Oversee process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
Support new product introduction (NPI) and scale‑up with operations, collaborating with internal teams and customers.
Develop and validate casting designs, gating/feeding systems, and tooling to ensure robust and repeatable manufacturing.
Analyze production data, monitor KPIs, and make data‑driven decisions to improve performance.
Serve as a technical leader on metallurgical, dimensional, and production process improvements, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Contribute to operational planning, long‑term strategic planning, capital investments, and technology upgrades.
Partner with cross‑functional teams—including Quality, Operations, and Sales—to meet customer and business objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials Science Engineering (Master's preferred).
9+ years of relevant engineering experience in a foundry or manufacturing environment.
5+ years in a management or technical leadership role with direct reports.
Proven experience leading cross‑functional teams on complex engineering projects.
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Hands‑on experience with new product introduction and scaling processes for high‑mix, high‑volume production.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
