Job Summary Performs cleaning of any area as assigned to ensure a clean, sanitized, dust‑free and contamination‑free environment. Performs any other custodial/janitorial duties within classification as required or assigned.
Compensation
Starting Wage: $19.85*
1st shift – 6:00am to 2:30pm – Tewksbury, MA. This position is an onsite role.
What You Will Do
Work to verbal and written instructions of supervision to perform a variety of cleaning operations.
Custodial cleaning duties: sweeping, dry and wet mopping, stripping floors to remove dirt, old wax, grease, oil, using cleaning solutions and solvents when necessary.
Waxes, treats, buffs and polishes floors.
Clean and polish desks and other office furniture.
Wash walls, glass partitions, windows, blinds, lights and light reflectors reachable from the ground.
Clean and maintain sanitary condition of washrooms and restrooms.
Appropriately dispose of general waste and recycling.
Move recycling/compost containers to collecting area.
Sweep and clean outside areas immediately adjacent to outside doors such as sidewalk areas and steps.
Maintain a clean work area.
Perform general maintenance and daily housekeeping of workplace, tools and equipment.
Maintain records, move materials and follow safety rules in performance of duties.
Perform other similar duties as required or directed.
Use machines, tools and equipment including central and portable vacuum systems, clean room grade applicators, mops, brooms, buckets, various brushes, roll mops, polishes, soaps, cleaning powders and solutions, waxes, solvents, isopropyl alcohol, rubber and work gloves, lint‑free wipers, filter masks, wall washing machines, sweepers, vacuum cleaners, distilled water, buffing machines and attachments, power sweepers and other related tools and products as necessary.
Qualifications You Must Have
Minimum of 1 year related experience.
