As a Transportation Specialist-Logistics, you will provide support to the Transportation Department in coordination with customers, suppliers, drivers, and other Dot/DTI employees.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Schedules customer delivery and supplier pickup appointments
Enters information to update file maintenance systems
Supports Customer Service, Replenishment, Routing, and Dispatch teams on scheduling related processes
Provides excellent customer service to external scheduling contacts
Participates in continuous improvement projects
Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position
YOU MUST HAVE
High school diploma or GED
Excellent attention to detail
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, etc.
Experience working in fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
Administrative or clerical experience
Effective professional verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational skills
ROLE SPECIFICS
Schedule: Monday – Friday. Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Works in both a team environment and on individual tasks
Utilize data analysis and interpretation
