Parts Manager – Louisiana

The Opportunity:
Our Client is seeking an experienced, high‑energy Parts Manager to lead a fast‑paced, high‑volume Parts Department representing Honda, Yamaha, Polaris, and Slingshot. This location serves a large and diverse customer base spanning off‑road, side‑by‑side, and on‑road motorcycle segments. The Parts Manager will oversee department operations, drive profitability, ensure accurate inventory management, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a high‑performing department and strengthen processes, team performance, and cross‑department collaboration.
Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead, train, and motivate Parts Counter Associates and Parts‑to‑Service staff.
Ensure excellent customer service across counter, phone, and online interactions.
Maintain department workflow, organization, and compliance with standard operating procedures.
Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM representatives and parts distributors.
Manage purchasing, stocking levels, special orders, and returns.
Improve inventory turns while minimizing obsolescence.
Forecast seasonal and model‑specific parts needs, especially for off‑road units.
Oversee accurate receiving, binning, labeling, and system data integrity.
Drive parts revenue and gross profit through pricing, merchandising, and upselling.
Monitor and improve key performance indicators (GP%, GP$, parts‑to‑labor ratio, obsolete %, fill rate, counter ticket averages).
Maximize vendor programs, rebates, and co‑op marketing opportunities.
Provide accurate forecasting and contribute to departmental budgeting.
Support the Service Department by improving RO parts flow, accuracy, and turnaround times.
Partner with Sales on PDI parts, accessories, upfits, and custom builds.
Deliver exceptional customer service at every touchpoint.
Execute merchandising strategies for high‑demand off‑road accessories, helmets, and riding gear.
Qualifications:
3+ years of powersports, automotive, or marine parts management experience.
Minimum of 3 years of Lightspeed EVO (DMS) experience.
Strong knowledge of ATV, UTV, SxS, and motorcycle parts.
OEM system experience preferred: Honda iN, Yamaha YDS, and Polaris Dealer Portal.
Proven team leadership and inventory management skills.
Ability to thrive in a high-volume dealership environment.
Saturday availability required.
