HTI is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Machine/Process Specialist (1st Shift) with a Tier 1 automotive manufacturer in Dallas, NC. This position will focus on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and maintaining injection molding equipment and associated production systems to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This position is Direct Hire, M-F 1st shift. The pay range is $25 – $35/hr depending on experience.

What You Need:

Experience with material conveyor systems and dehumidification systems

Experience with electrical systems and schematics

Basic PLC programming and operation (Allen Bradley, Omron, GE, C programming, etc.)

Experience programming automation equipment

Ability to interpret machine manuals, blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics

Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills

Experience with Engel machinery

What Your Role Will Look Like: The Injection Molding Machine/Process Specialist will be responsible for supporting production operations, maintaining injection molding machinery, and ensuring optimal processing conditions. Must be self-motivated with strong technical aptitude and capable of supporting continuous improvements within the molding department.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair injection molding machines across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Perform mold changes, color changes, and material changes as needed

Establish mold-specific processes within target cycle times

Read and interpret blueprints; perform inspections and measurements to ensure product quality

Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on molding equipment

Modify, repair, and rebuild plant machinery and equipment

Provide detailed instructions to others on equipment maintenance and repair

Wire control cabinets according to schematic diagrams

Actively participate in safety programs and promote safe work practices

Identify and implement production improvements to reduce cost and enhance performanceSupport installation of new equipment and equipment relocation

Maintain awareness of machine condition and identify potential issues proactively
