The Project Manager / Estimator is responsible for estimating, budgeting, and managing interior and exterior metal framing projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role ensures accurate pricing, efficient project execution, cost control, and coordination with clients, design teams, and field operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for interior and exterior metal framing, drywall, and related systems.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda to develop accurate bids and proposals.
Solicit, review, and level vendor and subcontractor pricing.
Manage awarded projects from contract execution through closeout.
Develop project budgets, schedules, and work plans.
Coordinate material procurement, shop drawings, and submittals.
Track project costs, labor productivity, and job profitability.
Manage change orders, RFIs, and contract documentation.
Coordinate with field supervision to support constructability and production planning.
Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, architects, and engineers.
Participate in project meetings and progress reviews.
Support value engineering and constructability reviews during preconstruction.
Qualifications
Experience in metal framing, drywall, and related systems (interior and exterior).
Strong estimating skills, including takeoffs and pricing analysis.
Knowledge of construction documents, contracts, and project controls.
Proficiency with estimating and project management software.
Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Salary range: $100K to $150K based on experience.
