Responsibilities
Participate in continuous improvement events and 5S activities.
Actively engage in shift relief (Tier 1 meeting).
Observe data from controllers and recorders to make process changes and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment.
Redirect or shut off feeder lines during emergencies and alert supervisor of actions taken.
Participate on process improvement teams.
Make scheduled routine inspections of operating areas to observe conditions and report any irregularities.
Create work notifications for equipment needing repair.
Collect and record operating data, run routine control checks during operations and make appropriate operational changes.
Make process changes as necessary to meet operational requirements.
Make minor repairs to operating equipment as needed.
Follow standard practices and procedures for plant operations.
Modify or review operating procedures annually.
Serve as a required member of the emergency brigade.
Provide OJT certification and training to new operators as required.
Perform all necessary housekeeping duties.
Conduct hazardous‑waste sampling, packaging/loading, container marking and labeling, handle hazardous‑waste containers, respond to chemical spills and releases, and document routine inspections.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts.
Valid driver’s license.
TWIC card eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with OSHA/PSM regulations.
Experience in a chemical manufacturing plant.
Knowledgeable in safety, quality and process controls.
Some experience working within a manufacturing environment.
