The Process Operator will support plant operations by monitoring and adjusting complex equipment, conducting routine inspections, performing minor repairs, and participating in continuous‑improvement activities. The role requires a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence across multiple shifts.
Responsibilities
Participate in continuous improvement events and 5S activities.
Assist with shift relief and Tier 1 meetings.
Operate complex equipment, including control panels that regulate mixing, feeding, and flow of chemicals, with responsibility for proper functioning of Apollo units.
Monitor data from controllers and recorders to make process changes and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment.
Redirect or shut off feeder lines during emergencies, and alert the supervisor of actions taken.
Participate on process improvement teams.
Conduct scheduled routine inspections of operating areas, observing conditions and reporting irregularities.
Create work notifications for equipment requiring repair within the operating area.
Collect and record operating data, perform routine control checks during operations, and adjust operations as required.
Make process changes to meet various operational requirements.
Perform minor repairs to operating equipment as needed.
Follow standard plant‑operations practices and procedures.
Review and modify operating procedures on an annual basis.
Serve as a required member of the emergency brigade.
Provide on‑the‑job training and certification to new operators as required.
Maintain housekeeping duties within the assigned area.
Handle hazardous waste sampling, packaging, labeling, container handling, and respond to chemical spills and releases; conduct and document routine inspections.
Working rotating shifts: 48 hours one week and 24 hours the following week, including nights and weekends. Shift hours: 3 AM‑3 PM day shift, 3 PM‑3 AM night shift, and drafted 16‑hour days.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience in a chemical manufacturing plant.
Knowledgeable in safety, quality, and process controls.
Ability to climb 200 feet of stairs, work in PPE, open and close valves up to 100 lbs of force, and lift up to 100 pounds.
Valid driver’s license.
TWIC Card eligible.
