Job Summary: Unity Health and Rehabilitation Center, a leading provider of rehabilitation and skilled nursing care, is seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Payroll and Human Resource Assistant to join our team in Miami, Florida. As a key member of our human resources department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll, benefits, and other HR‑related tasks. Responsibilities:
Prepare and process payroll, including calculating wages, bonuses, and deductions, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date employee records, including personnel files, benefits, and leave information
Conduct new hire orientations, provide employee onboarding, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Assist with benefits administration, including open enrollment, benefit renewals, and employee communications
Develop and maintain reports and spreadsheets to track HR metrics, attendance, and other key performance indicators
Provide exceptional customer service to employees, managers, and other stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in payroll and human resources required
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and other stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software applications (e.g., Workday, BambooHR)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
