Position Summary Effectively manage the paint shop to achieve optimum quality and customer satisfaction.

Position Responsibilities
Supervise paint shop employees and manage daily operations.
Order and maintain paint supplies and equipment to keep the shop organized and well‑maintained.
Oversee all surface preparation work before painting.
Ensure all work meets safety, legal, customer, and internal PES standards.
Deliver excellent customer service and promote positive work practices within the shop.
Meet performance goals and production targets.
Motivate and support team members to achieve KPIs.
Supervisor Expectations – Communication
Communicate clearly and effectively with employees and other departments.
Conduct both formal and informal evaluations of direct reports.
Make sure employees understand expectations for safety, quality, and productivity.
Share company updates, policies, and performance expectations with the team.
Collaborate with other supervisors and participate in daily pass‑down meetings.
Supervisor Expectations – Reporting and Administration
Ensure all safety incidents and near misses are reported and escalated per company policy.
Oversee quality reporting, including NCRs, redlines, and part inspections.
Maintain accurate timekeeping, approve payroll, and manage PTO requests.
Submit Helpdesk tickets and request tools or consumables as needed.
Document schedule progress.
Write mid‑year and annual performance reviews for direct reports.
Prepare documentation for performance or disciplinary actions when necessary.
Supervisor Expectations – Continuous Improvement
Lead and participate in shop improvement teams and follow through on action items.
Maintain and enhance 5S standards throughout the shop.
Address and correct policy or behavior issues promptly and elevate when needed.
Recognize and communicate strong performance from individuals or teams.
Suggest and share ideas for design or process improvements.
Track and report manpower hours and performance against goals.
Required Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma or GED, or relevant work experience in lieu of education.
Material handling equipment experience and ability to operate forklift safely.
Ability and knowledge to rig properly and safely run an overhead style crane.
Minimum six months experience with supervising or providing technical direction to a team.
US work authorization is a precondition of employment.
Successful candidate must satisfactorily complete pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
Desired Qualifications
Associate degree or certificate in a related technical field, or 5+ years’ experience in industrial painting or equivalent combination.
3+ years’ experience directly supervising maintenance staff.
Experience carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Technical competence including understanding software, hardware, networks, etc.
