Position Summary The Inventory Manager will manage the activities and performance of Supervisors to ensure that quality products are manufactured on time, safely, and within budget.

Salary Range $80,000 – $100,000
Responsibilities
Manage the department, ensuring efficient and timely production and proper staffing to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
Manage the Supervisor(s), ensuring their teams are well managed; support recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, appraise, and review job contributions; plan and review compensation actions; enforce policies and procedures.
Assign duties, give verbal and written instructions, and review work for conformance to quality and safety standards.
Provide technical guidance to team members and consult with other resources when needed.
Communicate with the Director of Manufacturing regarding schedules and backlogs.
Work with Project Managers and Engineering as appropriate.
Determine outsourcing needs to maintain project schedules.
Review labor charges, purchase requisitions, and department schedules.
Conduct department and CIT meetings.
Ensure employees comply with all of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
Ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to achieve leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Education and Experience Requirements
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of management experience in the material handling industry.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
Excellent management skills for directing, coaching, scheduling, and assisting team members.
Technical orientation with ability to learn new technologies.
Computer skills, including MS Office Products.
Experience using MRP/ERP systems; SAP Preferred.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
Team-oriented and collaborative.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
