Quality Control Inspector
Location:
High Bridge, NJ
Base Pay Range $22.00/yr - $26.00/yr
Summary Responsible for overseeing and executing comprehensive quality inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process, ensuring adherence to both internal specifications and customer expectations. Duties include meticulous record-keeping in alignment with Quality Systems Procedure Manuals, Quality Control Management, and Quality Control Standards.
Responsibilities
Conduct dimensional evaluations for standard, non-standard, and nuclear fittings.
Oversee receiving, in-process, and final inspections, including ultrasonic thickness measurements, hardness testing, and Positive Material Identification (PMI).
Perform visual assessments, marking verification, and packaging inspections.
Approve and verify heat treat charts and coating inspections.
Maintain thorough documentation and traceability of all inspection activities.
Calibrate and maintain measuring equipment, including programming and using coordinate measurement equipment (Romer).
Prepare and review all required reports and documentation.
Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and adhere to emergency procedures.
Fulfill duties in both indoor and outdoor environments as directed by the QC Manager.
Perform tasks involving heavy lifting when required.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizen.
Experience with CCM Romer.
Foundational math skills and precision measuring instrument proficiency.
Punctuality, attention to detail, and effective English communication skills.
Prioritize workplace cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.
Consistently wear approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Manufacturing Technology, Quality Assurance, Engineering, or 2 years related discipline preferred.
Manufacturing/Industrial metallurgical experience preferred.
Physical Demands The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel, to sit, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment The noise level can vary. The environment be hot, cold, or dirty, but safety and training are emphasized.
