GENERAL NATURE OF JOB
Lead a warehouse team and optimize operations to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and profitability. Drive improved processes, motivate staff, and ensure on‑time deliveries to keep customers satisfied and the business thriving.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead and manage the warehouse team: hire, train, coach and provide performance feedback to warehouse personnel, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
Oversee day‑to‑day warehouse operations: manage the efficient flow of inventory, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods.
Optimize warehouse workflows: analyze data and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
Oversee logistics and shipments: manage carrier base, monitor shipments, and ensure timely deliveries.
Ensure warehouse safety and security: conduct regular safety inspections, maintain equipment, and enforce safe work practices.
Manage, edit, and author policies and work instructions as needed.
Follow up on important and urgently needed items to ensure specified delivery dates.
Collaborate and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain smooth operations and resolve issues.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the company’s warehousing processes.
Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Generate reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Ability to develop and implement new ideas to meet the business plan.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA, EPA, and federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, as well as customer specifications.
Requirements
Proven experience in warehouse operations and supervision, with a minimum of 3+ years preferred.
Excellent leadership and team building skills.
Proven ability to develop and implement effective warehousing strategies.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Positive attitude and team‑player mindset.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer skills in MS Office and ERP systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Strong listening, interpersonal, and communication skills for communicating upward, downward, and horizontal messages.
Good knowledge of the products and manufacturing processes.
